What I've Been Learning

No matter how different you think you are, you can't help but deeply love each person you truly learn to know.

Microdermabrasion:

Pretty much the worst thing I have ever done in my life. Ouch. Pain. Very sad.

What I Should Put On Our Family Answering Machine

"Hello, this is Tantrum Central. How may I help you?"

And I thought we had hit "terrible twos" already. Geez.

Regrets

I never should have looked up our Chinese zodiac signs. I keep thinking about Mama Tiger vs. little Ox when we have fights like eight times a day.

Lion and Lamb

Thursday, March 1

I left the house at 6:30 and it was snowing just a little.
I left the gym at 7:45 and it was cold but the sky was completely blue.
I left the house at 9:00 and it was completely clouded over and dumping snow.

Winner, Winner!

I just won a blog giveaway for the first time. This is all I've ever wanted! I'm going to keep trying for for that Pioneer Woman KitchenAid though!

I Just Can't Win

I bought pants a little too big instead of a little too small thinking they would shrink (and because all my other pants being too small is why I went shopping in the first place). Instead they stretched. Argh.

Happy New Year

"For a person who is born in the year of the tiger [that's me], living with a person born in the year of the pig [that's my husband] is a happy choice because those born in the year of the pig are honest, gentle [very true] and can help the tiger with his shortcoming of acting rashly [hmm]. Such persons also bring the tiger a sense of security [yes].

"But they will have conflicts with people born in the year of the ox [that's baby 1]. They should never challenge the authority of a person born in the year of the ox. These people are serious, never compromise and won't tolerate the tiger's wild actions in defiance of the law. This may doom the tiger should there be a conflict between them [ah!]."

"Tiger and TIGER [Baby 2]: Compatible to a certain degree only. Have small animosities and reservations about each other. Will work together for a common goal only."

I'm also a Leo. Funny, eh? A tiger and a lion. Rrr.

All in the Same Boat

Baby 1 is too young for cold medicine.
Baby 2 is too young for me to take cold medicine.
Thus, we've used up several boxes of Kleenex in one week.

Count Your Many Blessings

1. Even though we're all sick at the same time, we all haven't been our sickest at the same time. First Dad was sickest, then Baby 1, then me.

2. Good thing "The Lion King" exists or my boy would have just continued to wander around the house moaning during his sickest time.

3. Thank goodness that Baby 1 is close enough to two that I feel fine using vapor rub on him.

4. We have friends who could lend us a humidifier.

5. Baby 2 hasn't gotten sick yet (and we're praying really hard that she misses this one).

Success

For the first time ever I think I've put everything Christmas away at once. I always seem to miss something--the movies, the music, the stockings--but not this year! And it's all in one (very heavy) box!

Email Recipe Exchanges

I'm such a party pooper, but what's the point? Why would I send or receive recipe emails from people I don't know? I can do that (and often do) through Google. And I thought I grew out of chain letters in the third grade.
