Because we all need a place to dump thoughts into cyberspace, and what's the harm of me having one more blog?

What I've Been Learning
No matter how different you think you are, you can't help but deeply love each person you truly learn to know.

Email Recipe Exchanges
I'm such a party pooper, but what's the point? Why would I send or receive recipe emails from people I don't know? I can do that (and often do) through Google. And I thought I grew out of chain letters in the third grade.

Merry Christmas!
"This Christmas, mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love and then speak it again."

75 Christmas Cards
You won't believe how fast we blew through them. We might just need 100 next time. It's a pretty good life to have so many people to love!

Big Life Changes
After something big happens to me (like Baby 2!), I feel like I have to get reacquainted with everyone and everything. Even friends I saw the day or week before she was born I feel like I haven't seen in forever and have to catch up with because such a big thing has happened to me since I last saw them.

Amish Friendship Bread
A friend just gave us a start, and here's the comment my husband made:
"When I was single some girls gave us some of that. We smelled inside the bag and knew it was rancid, though, so we threw it away. We didn't think it was very friendly."
If you've ever done Amish friendship bread, you know why this is so funny!
